I you want to correct the design, consider the following:
Preferably use a grinding tool made of stone with diamond grit in. Bredent Diagen grinder or Edenta CeraPro is recommended for best grinding performance and minimum heat generation. Remember not to have too high revs. Common diamonds with a larger diameter will also work. Never hold the cutter still in the same place due to the risk of local overheating. Always use some sort of water cooling during the grinding process.
Never grind down to less than specified minimum thickness of the material you are working with. If space for Denzir or Zirconia Magnum with porcelain is insufficient, let the core material be seen. These materials are easy to polish. For Zirconia Plus, like all other zirconia, the core should always be porcelain covered.
If you think that the individual cap does not fall into place and therefore need to be adjusted the following applies:
Be careful of sharp edges and corners on the gypsum die. Use curing lacquer that penetrate the plaster and do not build any thickness. Therefore avoid spacer varnish. A good alternative is Bredent Einbettmassenhlirter that also dries very quickly. Keep in mind that after the varnishing it is hard to rescan the same die again and get an acceptable result.
Inspect gypsum die, usually there is an early contact with the cap on the sharp edge of the zero space area that can be removed without staining. Are you unsure where it interferes you must color the punch with the appropriate connector color. Grind off the contact point with short grinding intervals. Always use high-speed with water cooling.
When the structure exterior is completely finished, ie porcelain coating and / or surface-polished, the interior must be cleaned.
If necessary, the inside can be blasted lightly with aluminum oxide 50 my, 2 bar to remove any impurities from the porcelain firing if the restorations should be cemented with adhesive technology. Rinse under running water or use ultrasound with water. Steam cleaning is not recommended. It is not possible to etch the surface with acid. Silanization and bonding from the lab does not increase retention. Clean the gypsum die. Then do a final quality check for cracks or defects.
